Lung cancer kills more people in the United States each year than breast, prostate, and colorectal cancers combined.
Independence Health System uses advanced low-dose CT scanners to detect lung cancer early offering more treatment options and better outcomes.
Who should get screened:
Adults ages 50-80 who currently smoke or have quit within the past 15 years, with a 20 pack-year history (packs per day x years).
Since 2016, the Advanced Lung Center has completed over 12,000 screenings and will provide counseling to 1,500 new patients this year.
Join us in raising awareness.
