What does the Caring Angel Program  Support?

The BHS Foundation’s Caring Angel Program has been successful over the past 28 years, raising nearly $2 million to benefit children, youth and their families in Butler County.

These funds help families and children in need through educational, therapeutic and support services at BHS Family Services. Family Services Programs provide individual, family and group counseling, parent-child interactive therapy, adolescent after school programming and much more.

“BHS Family Services cares passionately for children, individuals, and families and wants to see them achieve healing and stability in their mental health. The support of the hospital and the local community are so important in helping Family Services to continue to provide excellent care to children, adults, and families facing challenges from past trauma, grief, depression, unexpected life changes, and so on. To see clients succeed and heal is truly why we do what we do. I have seen individuals and families work through the very deepest pain you can imagine and fight through to the other side. Therapy is not easy and is very hard work, but the reward of becoming whole again is so worth it. We hope to continue to impact our community, one hurting soul at a time.” Andrea B Anderson, MA, LPC, Coordinator of Outpatient Mental Health, BHS Family Services

Funds from the Caring Angel Program also support charitable emergency room care to children whose parents or guardians do not have the resources to pay.
